Believers

She sat opposite to me, at the other side of the table. Two plus hours of interrogation had , seemingly, no effect on her. She retained her calm and the fire in her eyes. Her determined stare was too strong for me.

"So what makes you think the Invasion is going to happen soon?" I asked.
"I told you I have proof which I will reveal to some higher power than you."
"But we are a government agency, Miss. You can’t just come over and say we are under attack from extra terrestrials. And we are the highest power you can trust, regarding these matters."

But she was adamant and I had to order her to be taken back to her confinement.

The Head's room was dull as usual. He blinked at me and asked, "Any hope?"
"Nope. She's a tough nut to crack. A hard boiled Believer, it seems."
"The treatment is going nowhere, Doc. It’s been six months."
I was about to talk, when the Head's phone rang.

He answered, "Institution for Mental Health... Hmm.. Yes.. More than six months... She was showing signs of schizophrenia.. Some alien invasion bull crap.. Nope. not violent enough.. The Doctor has been treating her with his own method. Slowing down..? Definitely not. We know how to do our job. Thank you."

He hung up and faced me. "See..? The media is on us now. You can’t institutionalize a high profile person for long. They want her out soon."

"But we can’t release her without making her 'disbelieve' what she thinks.", saying that I opened up my wings and let out my tail from its confinement. It was such a relief. I had to keep them buckled up for hours.

"Hey stop this. Can’t you hide your stuff? It’s not our planet."

"Chill captain, you're always nervous. There are no humans here. It’s only us."

"Yeah you're right. Maybe I am nervous because another earthling knows about our plan. I wish she disbelieves soon and goes back. I am tired of killings." And then he freed out his wings and tail as well.

The 'Institution' was already filled to the brim with Believers.

A Flavour Named Greed

Yesterday we friends had a treat at an ice cream parlour. (We always have treats no matter what.. joy or sorrow, victory or defeat, profit or loss) Searching for a new flavour we hit something new. It was called 'Greed'. Hmmm. To take a chance for a joke, I asked the waiter why it is called so. He smiled and said "I recommend you order it, then find out". We ordered and waited for the 'Greed' to arrive. We joked and laughed meanwhile.

Then it came. A big inviting bowl full of promising taste. Individual scoops were there for serving, six of them - one for each of us. The long wait and the appearance of the ice cream had driven us hungry. We scooped out as much as we could. Now we understood why it was called 'Greed'

The Intro - Storm 1 Begins

The title is a misnomer. ( Is it mis-nomer or misnomer? Obviously it isn't mis-nomer.. I can already see my spell check saying it is not. Nevertheless great way to get some words through.)

So I was speaking about the title. Got carried away, sorry. (I get carried away easily. See I am on the verge of getting carried away.) The title will be something to laugh at for someone who knows me well. A misnomer.

But still, I feel I can do justice to it. This blog is just the coming of the storm. So behold and comment 'Should I live?'.
